The EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly is an authoritative international platform for the exchange of views and the search for a common position among the leaders of European countries on economic and social issues, as well as on the peaceful settlement of diplomatic and armed conflicts. Within the framework of participation in the EURONEST Parliamentary Assembly meeting that took place in Tbilisi, Natalia Korolevska presented to the European Parliament deputies the initiatives of the National Platform "Women for Peace" aimed at establishing peace in Ukraine and restoring social protection for citizens.
"Within the framework of EURONEST, I presented to the deputies of the European parliaments the peace initiatives of the National Platform "Women for Peace", as well as shared the experience of our regular humanitarian missions in the "gray" zone of Donbas to help civilians affected by the war. It should be noted that part of our "Women's Peace Plan", which we adopted a year ago, almost completely coincides with the recently adopted resolution of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe "The Humanitarian Consequences of the War in Ukraine". Today, we have a unique chance to join forces, both within the country and at the international level, to guarantee people security, social protection, economic prosperity and confidence in the future," Natalia Korolevska noted.
According to the initiator of the National Platform "Women for Peace", the fulfillment by the government and the Parliament of Ukraine of the demands of the PACE and more than 150,000 women of Ukraine will allow our country not only to protect civilians affected by the fighting, but will also help restore peace to Ukraine.
Earlier, Natalia Korolevska presented the National Platform "Women for Peace" at the Women political leaders Annual Global Summit in Reykjavik, which was attended by more than 400 women presidents, prime ministers and deputies from 100 countries peace, as well as at the 48th International Economic Forum in Davos.
