The MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Yuriy Pavlenko stated this on the air of the “112 Ukraine” TV channel.
The opposition politician shared the results of his recent trip to Zhytomyr and stressed that the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada does not coincide with the real needs of ordinary Ukrainians.
“Unfortunately, the parliament adopts laws that benefit certain groups or even individual parliamentarians. However, these laws are very far from solving the problems that Ukrainians face daily. And the society, first of all, suffers from poorly implemented medical reform, the so-called pension reform, innovations in the field of education. Outrages the population and the change in the approach to obtaining subsidies, while gas and electricity prices only grow,” Yuriy Pavlenko noted.
He also added that he again received an appeal from Chernobyl and military pensioners. Elimination of benefits to those affected by the Chernobyl disaster and the meager pensions of defenders is a crime against their own people. However, despite the popular outrage and attempts, including the OPPOSITION BLOC, to introduce draft laws for the consideration of the parliament to restore social justice, such a shameful situation has not yet been remedied.
“I hope that in this plenary week, thanks to the principled position of the OPPOSITION BLOC, the issue of returning debts on wages to miners will be considered. Nevertheless, the agenda of the Verkhovna Rada does not take into account the vital problems of citizens to the full, and the government continues to ignore the socioeconomic crisis in which Ukraine is today,” Yuriy Pavlenko summarized.
