The OPPOSITION BLOC will keep its page in the social networks “Vkontakte” and “Odnoklassniki”, MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Yuriy Pavlenko stated. According to him, the decision of the National Security and Defense Council to close access to social networks does not prohibit the citizens of Ukraine to use it, so the party will continue to communicate with voters in social networks.

“The OPPOSITION BLOC will not close its pages in VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. The decree of the President, which gave the green light to the NSDCU’s decision, concerns providers, not ordinary citizens. Already, millions of our citizens are entering these social networks through anonymizers or in some other way. Our party has always been with its constituents. We will continue to communicate in all social networks,” Pavlenko said.

The MP added that the OPPOSITION BLOC considers the Presidential Decree on blocking access to Internet resources illegal, as violating the democratic principles of a man and citizens.

“We appeal against it to the Constitutional Court as contradicting the Constitution and the sanctions laws passed by the parliament. This Decree directly violates Art. 34 of the Basic Law of Ukraine, which guarantees the right to freedom of thought and speech, free expression of their views and beliefs,” Yuriy Pavlenko stressed.
