This was stated by the Co-Chairman of the OPPOSITION BLOC faction Yuriy Boyko during his speech from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada on Tuesday, March 13.
“We must finally hear the report of the government. The socio-economic crisis has reached its apogee. The Cabinet should urgently submit an anti-crisis program of activities, or resign. The government should practice the logic of national pragmatism, as the US does, protecting its producers. At the same time, there were introduced duties on steel and aluminum, which will hit Ukrainian exporters and our trade balance,” Yuriy Boyko said.
He noted that the OPPOSITION BLOC would require a full revision of the amount of payments to military pensioners. “We consider the decision on allowances as insufficient, as well as we with pensioners will seek recalculation of pensions starting in 2012. We demand to cancel the so-called pension reform and review the State Budget with the aim of increasing payments on social items - salaries, pensions, scholarships,” the opposition politician said.
Yuriy Boyko stressed that the opposition would continue to fight against the so-called medical reform. “Our faction field a submission to the Constitutional Court on the abolition of the “medical reform”. It contradicts the Constitution and limits the right of citizens to receive medical services. It is necessary to finally appoint the head of the Ministry of Health a true professional among Ukrainian doctors. We must put an end to the shameful practice of attracting “varangians” to the government of the country,” the opposition leader summed up.
