Co-chairman of the OPPOSITION BLOC faction Yuriy Boyko said this during the meeting of the Conciliation Council on Monday, April 16.
He stressed that the OPPOSITION BLOC fully supports voting for draft laws on assistance to people affected by the Chernobyl disaster. “Draft law No. 6230 on the payment of monetary compensation for the child nutrition in educational institutions requires an adjustment before the second reading, but it must be adopted as a basis. It is also necessary to adopt draft law No. 6665, which provides an opportunity to obtain a certificate of the person injured by the Chernobyl accident who, before January 1, 1993, lived for less than four years in the zone of increased radioecological control,” Yuriy Boyko said.
The politician also stressed the importance of adopting draft law No. 8116, which would remove the bureaucratic obstacle that arose after the introduction of changes to the Criminal Procedure Code and related to the burial of the deceased. “People, who already have a great grief in the family, face a lot of bureaucratic obstacles in the burial of the deceased. Therefore, we must adopt a draft law that will resolve this issue,” the Co-Chairman of the opposition faction emphasized.
