This was stated by the Co-Chairman of the OPPOSITION BLOC Yuriy Boyko during a meeting with military pensioners in Novohrad-Volynsky, Zhytomyr region, on Tuesday, June 12.
“Military pensioners are very disciplined and patient people, but they have already lost patience and they resorted to public actions,” Yuriy Boyko said.
According to the opposition politician, military pensioners are ready to get out of the walls of the parliament when the budget is adopted and to ensure that their just demands are taken into account.
“After all, the state is obliged to transfer pensions to the former servicemen fully, and not UAH 1,5 thousand, as the Cabinet did. Last time the indexation of their pensions was carried out in 2012. It is necessary to completely recalculate pensions and pay people, as required by law. Our political force will necessarily support military pensioners in their demands. We will do everything to restore law and honesty towards these people. Officials cannot live very richly, but people around the country be poor. The fight for justice is just beginning,” Yuriy Boyko stressed.
