This was stated by the Co-Chairman of the OPPOSITION BLOC faction Yuriy Boyko at the Conciliation Board on Monday, April 16.
“I would like to ask the Chairman of the Parliament, where is his law on changing electoral legislation and holding elections on open lists? What is this detective story, when this document has been being in the committee for several months already? If there are even 4 thousand amendments – submit it into the session hall, we will consider and make decisions. This is an important draft law, because all factions promised that the next elections would be held on open lists. So let’s finally make this decision,” Yuriy Boyko said.
Commenting on the problem of updating the Central Election Commission (CEC), he noted that the introduction of new candidates to the CEC and the change in its composition cannot occur in the form in which the property was divided in the famous film “The Wedding in Malynivka”. “Today, between the two factions, there is a distribution of posts in the CEC, and all the rest do not have the opportunity to include their representatives there, including the OPPOSITION BLOC. We believe that the distribution of posts in the CEC on this principle is the preparation of the authorities to falsify the elections in conditions when it has lost the people’s confidence,” the Co-Chairman of the OPPOSITION BLOC faction stressed.
