The MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC, member of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Health Tetiana Bakhteeva said in an interview with online publication from-ua.
She noted that the law on the so-called "medical reform" was voted with violation of all possible procedures and with the use of "push-button". "A lot of important and fundamental amendments submitted by deputies, including myself, were not taken into account," Tetiana Bakhteeva said.
According to her, pseudo-reform completely kills the domestic health care system, which has been based on enthusiasm, decency, dedication and high professionalism of all medical workers of Ukraine in recent years.
"The leadership of the Ministry of Health has already shown to Ukrainians their inability to carry out reforms. The Ministry of Health has failed to purchase medicines for 2015-2017: medicines that have been fully paid for have not yet been received. At least a three-year failure in vaccination programs has been formed. Ukrainians buy medicines at their own expense, and this is a crime of power and cynicism on the part of the Ministry of Health, which talks about "free" health care," Bakhteeva emphasized.
She stressed that in the State Budget-2018 there was a catastrophic situation with the financing of state medical programs. "For example, only 66.6% of subsidies have been allocated to cancer patients. This is just an unprecedented experiment on the country that will lead to a demographic crisis, unprecedented epidemic outbreaks and threatens national security," the politician noted.
"90% of representatives of the medical community do not support this "medical reform". This is a cry of their hearts about the closure of hospitals, the reduction of health workers, that health care reform buries decentralization and creates a corruption agency in the face of the National Agency. In the modern world, there is no longer any concept of "money going after a patient". Money should wait for the patient in hospitals, and doctors should treat people, and not run and beg for money from the National Agency," Tetiana Bakhteeva said.
