The OPPOSITION BLOC will not vote for medical and educational reforms, which have been adopted by the Verkhovna Rada in the first reading and are prepared for adoption in general. This was stated by MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Serhiy Lovochkin in the lobby of the Verkhovna Rada. According to him, position of the party is reforms after the elections of the parliament.
“Medical reform, in the form that was proposed, reduces the ability of people to access medical services. Educational reform is also fragmented and does not meet the request for a systematic improvement in the quality of education. Therefore, at the current stage, we do not support these reforms,” Serhiy Lovochkin stated.
“In general, our position: the re-election of the parliament - the formation of an effective coalition and a workable government and then – reforms. Because now we have a coalition of the minority and, accordingly, the government of the minority,” he added.
The politician considers that the current government does not have a single reform program:
“Both the Coordination Council of Reforms and the President have some kind of agenda. The Cabinet of Ministers has its own agenda, some kind of ministries – its own, Parubiy has his own agenda. Every “reformer”, who is now PR, has his own agenda. We do not see a single, harmonious program for reforming the state. We believe that it will not appear in this parliament; it is necessary to change both the parliament and the government, he stated.
According to Serhiy Lovochkin, the reset of the power is necessary to have effective management and effective programming.
“Then the goals will be set, there will be indicators of the effectiveness of the changes and we can expect that the reforms will be productive. Because the president calls 144 reforms, and Parubiy calls five. Where is the logic, explain to me. Where are we going? What goals do they set for themselves? Nobody sees any indicators of effectiveness that should be with each reform,” the MP said.
