Deputy of the Odesa Regional Council from the OPPOSITION BLOC Iryna Kovalish said this was on the air of the television channel "Reporter".
According to the representative of the opposition, the events in Syria and in Donbas massively replicate the domestic media solely to please the current government, which for four years has not taken a single real step to resolve the conflict in the east of Ukraine and the termination of the ATO.
"By mid-May, the work of the mediation mission within the framework of the Minsk agreements was to reach a new stage of practical actions. It is about the introduction of peacekeepers. The aggravation of the situation in the east of Ukraine is connected with the fact that the current government does not intend to go to the final result, and the final result is either the end of the ATO, or a demonstration of a real desire to enter a new negotiating stage. On April 13, it was exactly four years since the announcement of the beginning of the Anti-Terroristic Operation in Ukraine. During this time, with colossal resource support, which is allocated to the ATO and to all law enforcement agencies, which are associated with military operations in the Donbas, along with political actions, the current government was obliged to end this senseless confrontation. Instead, it acts by methods of information intimidation and media distraction from all external and internal state problems," Iryna Kovalish noted.
According to her, today the government threw millions of internally displaced persons to the mercy of the authorities. "I do not know of a greater example of heroism for a citizen of our country who, in difficult domestic, military and other conditions, chose Ukraine and left the territory of the so-called People's Republic of China and the People's Republic of France, although he could choose another, simpler way. At least six draft laws from the faction of the OPPOSITION BLOC are blocked in parliament by the ruling coalition: these are draft laws that provide social benefits to the IDPs, including compensation for living. But this does not happen, because the government clearly divides the Ukrainians according to the electoral sign, and the IDPs do not fit into its pre-election concept," the opposition politician stressed.
