The Dnipropetrovsk regional organization of the oppositionists appealed to the Political Council of the OPPOSITION BLOC with a proposal to convene a congress of the party until December 15, 2018 to determine a single candidate for the upcoming presidential elections in Ukraine.
The meeting of the Political Council of the Dnipropetrovsk regional organization of the OPPOSITION BLOC was held on November 21, 2018.
The decision of the oppositionists of the Political Council of the Dnipropetrovsk region also states that the holding of talks with the authorities by Yuriy Boyko and Serhiy Lovochkin and the signing of backstage agreements is a betrayal of the interests of voters. “Such actions of Boyko and Lovochkin will never be supported by our party members and supporters. Therefore, their exclusion from the OPPOSITION BLOC faction in parliament is a logical decision,” Mykhailo Razgonyaev, a member of the Dnipropetrovsk regional council from the OPPOSITION BLOC said.
It is also noted that in order to determine a single candidate for the presidency of the opposition forces, a broad discussion should be held on the candidacies in the opposition political forces with the participation of voters from all regions.
Earlier, deputies of the OPPOSITION BLOC faction in the Dnipro City Council opposed the decision of Boyko and Lovochkin to create a political platform for cooperation with the authorities, which made the people impoverished. Oppositionists of Dnipro declared that they would continue an honest and open struggle against the authorities and the protection of the interests of citizens.
