"In 2017, honey exports (+ 60%), berries (+ 15%), Christmas-tree toys (+ 30%)... We need to produce high-tech products, and not turn into raw materials appendage with handicrafts," Co-chairman of the OPPOSITION BLOC faction in the parliament Oleksandr Vilkul wrote on his page in Facebook.
"People should live humanely - have a stable job, a decent income and confidence in the future. The current chaos that pushes people to leave the country should be stopped," the politician stressed.
The oppositionist called the priority issues that the Verkhovna Rada should consider as early as January 15:
- Restoring peace;
- support for industry and the economy in order to ensure real growth of salaries and pensions, rather than scanty handouts that dissolve in inflation;
- reduction of tariffs and control over prices for products and essential goods;
- security on the streets;
- medicine and education.
Vilkul noted that the OPPOSITION BLOC submitted relevant draft laws to the parliament.
Oleksandr Vilkul systematically advocates that Ukraine develop infrastructure, enter new markets, including European markets, and restore trade ties with traditional partners. "The national idea of Ukraine should be a pragmatic approach to protecting its interests," the oppositionist said.
