The level of disappointment in the actions of the authorities has never been so high in the history of modern Ukraine. This was stated by the Co-Chairman of the OPPOSITION BLOC in the parliament Oleksandr Vilkul from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.
"It remains almost a year and a half until the parliamentary elections, and a little more six months until the presidential elections. However, it is already clear that the authorities are developing schemes for falsifying elections. There is no other way out: the Ukrainians do not hide their negative attitude to the current authorities and the devastation, which we are now in. I will say more - people see that this is not just a crisis, but a catastrophic threat to statehood, and requires immediate changes!", — Oleksandr Vilkul said during the speech.
The oppositionist described three points of the cynical plan of the authorities on the preservation of the current regime and the continue of those anti-human social experiments that it has been conducting for the last four years.
"The first is to make the process of nominating candidates, organizing and holding elections as confusing as possible. The adoption of new electoral legislation on voting on open lists is being delayed for this. The goal is to preserve the "buckwheat" and humiliate bribes, to preserve the existing system.
The second point is the creation by the authorities of an obedient CEC, which will "close eyes" to large-scale falsifications and abuses. And the best confirmation that the only real opposition in our parliament is the faction of the OPPOSITION BLOC is that only representatives of our faction and the party are not included in the new composition of the CEC", — the opposition leader said.
The third point, as noted by the MP, the government plans to cut off the electoral process, a half million Ukrainian citizens who do not exactly support the policy of the current government. We are talking about IDP (internally displaced persons) from the Donbass and Crimea. Therefore, the OPPOSITION BLOC developed bill No. 4471, which guarantees the implementation of the electoral right to IDP, but the pro-government coalition doesn't consider it from April of the year before last.
"I hold a lot of meetings in different regions of Ukraine. And I see that the people are waiting for the elections, because they are trying to change the situation in the country in a peaceful and legal way. But the authorities have another goal - to preserve themselves, to show that millions of citizens do not depend on anything, that their voice and political choice are not capable of changing the situation. But this is not so. We are supported by millions. We will win!", — summarized the oppositionist.
