The Deputy of the Zhytomyr regional Council from the OPPOSITION BLOC Natalia Rybak said during a meeting with representatives of Vilsk united territorial community that in Chernyakhovsk region of the Zhitomir area.

The Deputy arrived in Vilsk at the invitation of the voters who said that for several months they could not vote to the solution of session of the village Council to allocate land to large families, and therefore are not able to deal with registration of documents giving the right to use the land.

In their opinion, the question of land use, including unclaimed land shares in the community are not ordered. As a result, not those who have lived and worked on this land all the time benefit from the use of land.

In her opinion, at the example of Vilsk and the surrounding villages, included in a new UTC, we can see how untrue the government’s promise of improving the level of service people a result of decentralization.

“People don’t know their rights. They do not know where to turn for help when they steal, violate the rights of their children. And the newly elected local authorities do not demonstrate their openness and willingness to hear the people who chose to solve their problems,” the politician accented.

Natalia Rybak took from the villagers the statements about the violation of their rights, met with representatives of the local authorities on ways of solving existing problems.

“Decentralization should improve people’s lives, to bring them quality services, to unite the community to solve their problems. Otherwise it will be one of unfulfilled myths of the current government,” Natalia Rybak concluded.
