In March of this year, Gennadiy Ivanyan, a deputy of the Kremenchug City Council from the OPPOSITION BLOC, sent a deputy inquiry for support and assistance to families with children with type 1 diabetes. However, no real progress in this matter has occurred during this time. Therefore, on Thursday, October 11, the Kremenchug City Council supported the repeated deputy inquiry of Gennadiy Ivanyan regarding the full provision of diabetic children with medicines.
“I, as a deputy of the Kremenchug City Council, was appealed by the parents of children with type I diabetes. By a deputy inquiry for sessions in March of the current year, which was supported, I have already asked to envisage the development of measures to support and assist families with children with type 1 diabetes, and include funding for these activities in the city budget this year.
Therefore, taking into account the need to ensure decent and safe conditions for all Kremenchug residents and the relevance of this issue and guided by Art. 13, 21 of the Law of Ukraine “On the Status of Deputies of Local Councils”, Art. 49 of the Law of Ukraine “On Local Self-Government in Ukraine”,
I ASK: To instruct the relevant departments on preparation of materials for the regular session to address the issue of introducing changes to the Comprehensive Development Program of the “Kremenchug City Children’s Hospital” Municipal Non-Profit Medical Enterprise for 2018-2020, approved by the decision of the Kremenchug City Council of March 30, 2018, in terms of full provision insulin-dependent children with drugs and medical supplies and provide appropriate funding from the city budget, ”says in the request of Gennady,” said in the request of Gennadiy Ivanyan.
Deputies of the City Council supported the inquiry of Gennadiy Ivanyan, and the mayor of Kremenchug, Vitaliy Maretskyi, promised to pledge the appropriate amount of money for the next year, which should be enough to solve the problems of the 51st child with type 1 diabetes.
