The MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Health Igor Shurma said this during his speech from the rostrum of the parliament on Thursday, July 5.
He told about the joint meeting of the Committee on Social Policy, Employment and Pensions and the Committee on Health, which reviewed the report on the course of the “medical reform”. The meeting was held on Wednesday, July 4.
“The agenda of the joint meeting included a hearing of the report of the Ministry of Health on the implementation of the “medical reform”. Unfortunately, neither the acting Minister, nor her deputies attended the meeting. They delegated a person who was appointed to the Ministry of Health in May this year to supervise reform issues. However, what hurt most is that during the joint meeting of the committees the acting Minister, celebrating the US Independence Day, was playing the game “What’s in the box”. This shows her attitude to the committees, to the Verkhovna Rada, and in general to the state of reforming the industry,” Igor Shurma stressed.
“We were greatly surprised that the ministry was not engaged in reform, but is engaged in transformation. To our question “where is the reform, do you have an approved concept for the development of the national health care system, the system and strategy for its implementation?” officially we were told under the protocol that there was not this thing. Therefore, by joint decision, we recorded that the concept of development of the national health system, as well as the strategy for its implementation was not available,” the opposition politician said.
The parliamentarian noted that the general decision of the committees adopted an appeal to the Prime Minister to consider the issue of compliance of the post of First Deputy Minister of Health Ulyana Suprun, urgently submit a candidacy for the post of the Minister of Health to the Verkhovna Rada, as well as hear a report of the acting Minister of Health from the rostrum of parliament. “All members of committees on health issues and social policy issues voted unanimously for this decision,” he stressed.
“Today, everyone realizes that the personnel issue is a matter of responsibility of the Prime Minister. I will appeal to the Prime Minister the way the odious Deputy Minister of Health Lynchevskyi said: “This is cancer. All the same they will die. The effectiveness of the programs is zero”. I appeal to the members of the Cabinet of Ministers – this is unprofessionalism, you will sooner or later be fired all the same, and the effectiveness of your work is zero,” Igor Shurma concluded, once again demanded to consider draft Resolution No. 5442 on recognizing Ulyana Suprun’s work unsatisfactory, as well as an appeal to the Cabinet of Ministers regarding her dismissal from her post.
