The Standing Committee of the Parliament reviewed the materials of the Prosecutor General’s Office on the lifting of immunity from the MP from the OPPOSITION BLOC Dmytro Kolesnikov. The politician provided official documents that showed that the accusations of the security forces were falsified.
In particular, the property of the “Factory of Precision Pipes” never belonged to the State Agency of Property and the Ministry of Industrial Policy (Kolesnikov headed the Ministry in 2010-2012). Moreover, it was transferred to another ministry and sold out in 2005-2006.
“There is a clear manipulation in the prosecution; it was not even asked where I was working at that time. Such a lie is broken by simple facts. In 2005-2006, I worked generally in another field, at another industrial enterprise. And I headed the Ministry of Industry only in 2010 and this plant was subordinate to another Ministry. And I had no opportunity to know either theoretically or practically about the production of the precision pipes at the plant,” Kolesnikov said at a meeting of the committee.
The MP also provided documents on the manipulations of the current authorities in the transfer of property of the Research Institute of the Pipe Industry named after Osada on the balance of the city of Dnipro.
It turned out that Kolesnikov also did not participate in the transfer of property of the Institute. This was done by the State Property Agency, in which Kolesnikov had not worked for a long time by that time. Just under Kolesnikov, this institute was a state one.
Lawyers Oleg Babich and Irina Opanasenko stressed that “Kolesnikov is accused not only of what he did commit, but theoretically he could not commit because at that time he was not working in the State Agency of Property.”
“In addition, such decisions were taken thousands of times by the Cabinet and Ministries, this is a purely procedural matter and, all the more, is not a crime. The property of the Institute was not transferred to private hands. This is a transfer from state ownership to the property of the city community,” well-known lawyers said. The statements of the Prosecutor’s Office are nothing more than an attempt to put pressure on the MP. No court will take a positive decision on the falsified statements made by the head of the GPU,” Babich said.
The Standing Committee studied the materials and transferred them to the Verkhovna Rada for consideration.
