Statement of the OPPOSITION BLOC
The fourth anniversary of the last Maidan is marked by war, growing poverty, corruption of power and disappointment of people in their own country.
In the east of Ukraine, the war has been continuing for the fourth year, which the power can not and does not want to stop. People who came to power after the Maidan speculate in the war, pseudo-patriotism and do not give the country of peace. Instead of a peaceful dialogue in society, they support neo-Nazis, street bandits and radicals.
The mediocre humanitarian policy of the current government intensifies conflicts and contradictions in society, generates xenophobia. Such a policy has become the reason for the deterioration of Ukraine’s relations with European partners: Poland, which traditionally acted as the advocate of our country on the way to the EU, and the neighboring countries of Hungary and Romania. As a result, Ukraine is becoming a source of new conflicts with neighboring states, including the EU countries.
The mediocre socio-economic policy of the authorities provoked a powerful economic crisis. Industrial production fell by 20%. The enterprises are being massively closed; hundreds of thousands of individual entrepreneurs went broke and stopped operating. Unemployment in the country is at record levels over the past ten years. “Reform” experiments led to a total impoverishment of the population. Prices for foodstuffs, medicines, and essential goods increased. For four years, prices have more than doubled, and housing and utility tariffs jumped several times. For the population, both medicine and education are becoming inaccessible. Against the backdrop of war and poverty, the streets of Ukrainian cities and villages have been swept by a wave of crime. But instead of combating banditry, the law enforcement system became an instrument for dealing with the opposition, intimidating dissenters and persecuting those who were unwanted.
Today it is clear that the politicians who came to power at the last Maidan deceived people. They aspired only to power and enrichment. They are self-interested and do not know how to run the country.
Citizens of Ukraine do not have confidence in the ruling political forces.
People understand that for overcoming the crisis, Ukraine needs a new course - a course of peace, economic development and social responsibility. It is necessary elections and a new government.
It is necessary to raise the economy, revive industry, help farmers. It is necessary to create work places and stop rising prices, abandon unbearable tariffs and take care of every Ukrainian family, return peace to the country and understanding in society.
The OPPOSITION BLOC will win elections, we will be able to implement this course - we will return people a normal life and hope for a better future.
